Appreciation on Alice !

I cannot thank you enough for writing the Alice series . I’ve never been captivated by a series as I have by yours. The fact that Alice seems so real is amazing. I felt like I’ve known her my whole life ( which I have =) ). I’ve never resonated with a character as much I have with Alice. I’ve learned so much about life than I probably ever will from anywhere else. I’m forever grateful for Alice for normalizing a lot of things that I and pretty much everyone I know assumes is weird and abnormal. She is pretty much the big sister I never had – even from her young age, she taught me a lot about my life. Absolutely love this series, and how realistic you made her feel – even thought its the life of a girl, its not boring, its not something I wanted to put down until I finished. I got so close to Alice, that I actually cried when it was her graduation and her wedding. I cannot stop praising, and I won’t. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for writing this series. I only finished the final book today, and I’ve never felt so lonely in my entire life as I have now. Changed my point of view of life in a huge way !

It’s not unusual to hear from male fans of Alice, as well as female.  I’m so glad that the series resonated with you.   I still remember one of my book signings when three boys, around eleven or twelve, stood in line to have their pile of Alice books signed.  Grinning, they told me, “we learn about girls this way.”  (I wish I had the Alice books too when I was growing up.  I didn’t learn very much from Nancy Drew).
