I’m sorry that I can’t reprint your long essay here, but this blog is only for correspondence.  I enjoyed reading it, however, and can see that you did quite a bit of research to get so many facts.  I hope your teacher was pleased.  One thing you didn’t get right, however:  I am not retired.  I am always working on a new book.  Last Saturday, in fact, I wrote for twelve hours–not all at once, but between breakfast and bedtime.  The great thing about being a writer is that you can do it in your pajamas.
