My take on Alice & Patrick’s relationship

So, I’ve been seeing a lot of questions and doubts on Patrick on here and I’ll bet you’re annoyed with the topic but yet u never push them to the side, u always answer their questions and I think that’s very nice of you! I personally think as a reader that Patrick always loved Alice which is why he only dated penny for a few months & wasn’t fully over her. I also believe that he always loved Alice because out of all the other girls he dated, he always went back to Alice until he finally came back for good and chose her out of all the women he could’ve had, that’s special and I think Alice knew too. They will forever be Patrick and Alice❤ at least that’s what I think. But I do have a question so I can fully understand once I reread the series, what did Patrick mean when he said penny demanded too much of his time? Did he mean she was clingy or needy or did he mean he was too busy with school because he dated Marcie after that. 💕💖❤
