Shiloh questions

Why didn’t you include the character named Sam in the book? How come the movie did not have a German Shephard like the book did? Why did the dog attack Shiloh?

The book was written first.  I did not write the movie script–the screen writer put in a girl called Sam. I don’t know why the producers did not use a German shepherd.  Perhaps the dog they used was more easily trained for its part.  I don’t know why the dog attacked Shiloh  For dominance, perhaps?
