The vet  thought the dog was about two years old when we found her.  She lived with our friends in West Virginia until she was about eleven years old.  I’m not sure what she died of…  when we first found her, she seemed too frightened to even let me pet her.  But once I whistled as she followed us, she bounded up to me as though she’d known me forever…
