The Kiss in the Closet

I was reading the part in Outrageously Alice where Patrick drags Alice into the closet. My question is this. Do you think Alice was overreacting when she felt violated due to the french kiss?

Phyllis replied:

Obviously, Alice did.  There are a lot of borderline things in life, and that’s one of them.  The closet-thing was part of the spooky Halloween tour, so kids were prepared for scary things to happen.  But a forced tongue-kissing wasn’t on the list.  Because Alice and Patrick already liked each other, he probably felt that a spontaneous kiss like that might be appreciated, forgetting the fact that she didn’t know who was doing the kissing.
